Palermo Sicily, a city that I read negative comments about but fell in love with at first sight, despite my short stay of one day. There is some charm and magic in this city. Whether because of the bright and strong sun in November, whether because of the combination of palm trees, greenery and flowering flowers, or because of the mix of ancient, modern and typical Sicilian architecture.
But so charming, impressive, and beautiful, this city presented itself to me that I now dream of returning again for a longer time there. And not only in Palermo, because Sicily is a paradise that must be seen and lived.
God forbid everyone visit him one day. The city of Palermo is located in the northern part of the island of Sicily with a population of about 700 thousand people. It is the largest city on the island and the most famous site of the Italian Mafia in the past. I had the pleasure of taking amazing panoramic photos from the sea to the city.
I was also allowed to shoot a sunset over Palermo. As I mentioned, I was only in this city one day, and in particular at Quattro Canti, a baroque square in the center of Palermo's old town. There were many bars and cafes where you could rest and enjoy delicious Sicilian food.
By the way, I entered the Palatine Chapel to the Norman Palace, and the Gardens to the Norman Palace. Many interesting places that I recommend to visit. There is no entry fee for these sites. I finally left for a dash for our tour around the Cathedral of Palermo San Eremiti. It was built in the 12th century and is very well restored.
In fact, there is something to see and do in this city if you have enough time for it. In addition to that, I can mention that you can come here all season, as long as you have the financial opportunity.
In fact, the city of Palermo seems to us a quiet and peaceful city where you can feel the spirit of southern Italy. All beaches are accessible for walking and bathing. There are shops and cafes everywhere, where you can buy food or refresh yourself with coffee or a soft drink.
All people are smiling and will assist you if you are looking for something specific. If you want to spend an unforgettable vacation in Sicily, start with the city of Palermo.
